Our story
Made in the shadow of the Blue Ridge
Georgia Mountain Mercantile started where most good things around here do: on a porch, at the end of a long trail, with somebody saying we ought to make something out of this.
We grew up on these mountains — the black bears moving through the laurel, the pines standing over the Chattahoochee, the fog that settles into the hollows and does not lift until noon. That is the heritage stamped into every piece we make: the peaks, the trees, and the bear that has been here far longer than any of us.
North Georgia is not a backdrop for us. It is where we live, hike, fish, and raise our families. Our goods are meant to be worn on the trail and at the tailgate, on the drive up 129 and on the porch after dark.
We keep the operation small and the quality high. Comfortable, well-made pieces printed to order, shipped anywhere, and designed to look better the more you wear them.

Every design starts with a real place — a trailhead, a river bend, a fire tower. If it is not from around here, we do not print it.
