Details
Guten Tag, y'all. The dark version.
Helen is a Bavarian village in the North Georgia mountains, which means the greeting really does go both ways.
Same greeting, opposite palette. On Blue Spruce, True Navy, and Black the diamond bands run cream and the wordmark goes with them, so the whole thing reads warm against a dark ground instead of cool against a light one.
Those diamonds are the Bavarian lozenge, the state flag of Bavaria. Helen rebuilt itself in that image in 1969, so the flag is about where you're standing. Not the German tricolor, which is a different country's whole story.
This is also the version that forgives a campfire, a river day, and whatever gets spilled at the beer garden.
Printed on a Comfort Colors 1717, the heavyweight, garment-dyed tee that beach and mountain-town shops have sold for decades. Soft from the first wear, not the tenth.
For a cool night on Main Street, leaf season on the ridges, the Christmas lights in December, or any conversation that starts with "wait, there's a German town in Georgia?"
Fabric & fit
Heavyweight 6.1 oz garment-dyed cotton
100% ring-spun US cotton, pre-shrunk
Relaxed fit, no side seams
Double-needle stitched throughout
Sewn-in label
Sizing
Runs relaxed and true to size. Size down for a closer fit. See the size chart in the photos.
A note on garment dye
Each shirt is dyed as a finished garment, so color varies slightly from piece to piece. That's the character of the fabric, not a flaw.
Care
Machine wash cold, inside out, with like colors. Tumble dry low. Do not iron directly on the print. The garment dye keeps softening with every wash.
Shipping
Printed to order just for you, then shipped with tracking emailed as soon as it leaves.
Unofficial design. Not affiliated with the Helen Chamber of Commerce or the City of Helen.
