Guten Tag, y'all.

Helen is a Bavarian village in the North Georgia mountains, which means the greeting really does go both ways.

Blue and white diamonds frame the only two words that matter. That's the Bavarian lozenge, the state flag of Bavaria. Helen rebuilt itself in that image in 1969, so the flag is about where you're standing. Not the German tricolor, which is a different country's whole story.

On White, Ivory, and Chambray the shirt itself supplies the light half of the pattern and the blue does the rest. Pale enough for a July afternoon on the river, which is most of what people do here anyway.

Printed on a Comfort Colors 1717, the heavyweight, garment-dyed tee that beach and mountain-town shops have sold for decades. Soft from the first wear, not the tenth.

For tubing the Hooch, a walk down Main Street, leaf season on the ridges, the Christmas lights in December, or any conversation that starts with "wait, there's a German town in Georgia?"

A note on garment dye

Each shirt is dyed as a finished garment, so color varies slightly from piece to piece. That's the character of the fabric, not a flaw.

Care

Machine wash cold, inside out, with like colors. Tumble dry low. Do not iron directly on the print. The garment dye keeps softening with every wash.
